Hi, I’m Jen Jones, a soft pastel artist and teacher based in the Geelong region. I’ve been teaching adults of all abilities at Grovedale Community Centre since 2017, sharing my love of art and encouraging others to discover their own creative voice.

My artwork explores the visual moments in life — the quiet connection between people, the character of a familiar face, the beauty of nature and those fleeting moments that stay with us.

Working primarily in soft pastel, I build my paintings through gentle layers of colour and light, creating works that are expressive, atmospheric and often deeply personal. I love the way pastel allows me to capture both the subtle details of a subject and the emotion behind it.

For me, art is about more than simply reproducing what I see. It is about capturing a feeling, a memory or a moment in time, and inviting the viewer to pause and connect with it in their own way.
